Denver Energy Awareness flyer

This PDF file is a three-fold flyer, feel free to download and distribute.  You will need Adobe Acrobat to read it.

Outline of "What We Can Do About Peak Oil"

This is not a detailed plan, just a list of some ideas that our group came up with in January 2007, with links to essays further developing the information we found. Subsequent meetings have and will continue to refine and expand what we have here.

Pedaling PetroProzac

Daniel Yergin's Cambridge Energy Research Institute thinks that the peak oil theory is garbage.  This is a response by Steve Andrews, Jeremy Gilbert, and Randy Udall

House Superinsulation Project

We decided to superinsulate our house.  It cost a chunk of change, so it's not for the faint of heart.  But here is what it involved.

Interview with Mayor John Hickenlooper about Denver's future

John Hickenlooper talks to Julian Darley of Global Public Media

The Hirsch Report
("Peaking of World Oil Production," Robert Hirsch, project leader)

Warning: this is a large PDF file (1.2 MB).  You will need Adobe Acrobat to read it.  Here is an external link to the Hirsch report for those with slower connections (thanks to Minnesotans for Sustainability)

Peak Oil Bibliography by Chris Kuykendall
"M. KING HUBBERT AND HIS SUCCESSORS: A HALF-BIBLIOGRAPHY THROUGH 2005"

Warning: this is a large PDF file (about 1.2 MB).  You will need Adobe Acrobat to read it (free from their web site).

Kuykendall calls this a "half-bibliography" because it only inventories materials in support of M. King Hubbert's basic ideas.  It is quite detailed and a lot of it is much more technical than the average reader will want, but it has pretty much everything, including an extensive list of web site links.
